Duck Hunting-Day 1

These are smiles of joy and fatigue. Jeremy and Adam drove from SC to AR yesterday and made their preparations for hunting. They were in bed by 10:00 pm and up at 1:00 am. Most of us would just shake our heads, but they have three more days of this routine.

Home for Christmas

It's been a terrific first day home with many warm blessings. Jeremy and I drove from Arkansas to South Carolina yesterday and made it home by midnight. We spent last night with his parents and this afternoon with his grandparents. This evening Mom had a traditional Low Country Boil; however, the true surprise was our grand fashion statement. Mom and I are wearing the same Christmas shirt. Being the scrapbookers that we are, we immediately got together in front of the tree for a quick shot.

Thanksgiving 2007

Jeremy and Jack read Knuffle Bunny.

Once again, Jeremy and I were extended a kind invitation to join the Bell's at Thanksgiving. Matt has said it's now a tradition for the Bell's and the Reese's to celebrate Thanksgiving together. Matt, Steve & Jack smoked the turkey, and Amy, Sharon and I prepared the sides.
Knuffle Bunny was in hot rotation after dinner, and it was Jeremy's first reading!
As Amy said, we had much to give thanks for.

Family Visit

Mom, Sissy and Adam made a trip to Arkansas October 25-29. As always, it was such a blessing to see family. Jeremy & I truly feel blessed to have had so many of our family visit us throughout this past year.
Many thanks go to my mom for making a special trip to AR to assist me with my recovery. Although her flights were less than desirable, I was truly thankful to have her with me.

Fall Fishing on the Arkansas River

Jeremy, Adam and Phil made a productive day of fishing on the river. Although no trophies were caught that day, fellowship was enjoyed!

We made a day trip to Stuttgart, AR. It was an extremely important outing for Adam, and visiting Mack's was certainly over the top!

Sable's Halloween BoBo!

Mums

These beautiful mums were sent to me by my grandparents during my recovery. Thanks, Granny & Papa!!

New Furniture

We certainly appreciated the hand-me-downs when we married and purchased our house, but it was time to move forward. Jeremy & I purchased new furniture for our living room, and what a terrific investment these new pieces have been. With my recent surgery and time home, I was grateful for new and comfortable furniture.

Triton Exchange

August brought a new addition to our boating family. Jeremy sold his older Triton to a friend at work, and purchased this beauty from a man here in Maumelle. You'd be surprised at the tight squeeze it makes in our garage. I keep saying that one day I will wake up to a lower unit jutting through my shower wall. Jeremy, my father and my brother-in-law are now all proud owners of red Tritons!!

Summer Blooms in Arkansas

The remains of the unforgiving Easter frost have finally passed and our crapemyrtle has bloomed. Fortunately we made it back in town to catch it at its peak. We were not in our house to see it bloom last year.
Our geranium in the back yard is beautiful sight from our bedroom window.

Hans and Kristy Cansler 7-7-07

Jeremy's best friend and fishing partner married Kristy, the catch of his life!!
Jeremy was a groomsman, and the wedding was held at my childhood church, Mt. Calvary in Johnston, SC. It was great to see the two of them so full of wedding bliss. Attending their wedding also stirred up many blissful memories from our own wedding just a year ago.

My parents
Jeremy's parents and his sister, Emmalee
Friday, Mom and I met Kerri, Haleigh and Roxanna for lunch in Johnston.
We had a very enjoyable visit, and Haleigh is just too adorable. Mom and I stopped in Pitter Patter and bought Haleigh a doll before we drove to Johnston.
JULY 4th at the Harper's Lake House
Our families gathered for a terrific day of food and lake activities. We are so very thankful for Meme and Papa Dick's hospitality.
Although our trip home was short, it was very special to see our loving families and dear friends.

My grandparents
Brian and I took Sable for a quick ride in the canoe across the cove and back.

Truly, does this dog know she's a dog???

S-P-O-I-L-E-D doesn't even begin to describe this dog's life.

Sable's 1st Birthday

This is the Rottie's first cake that I INTENDED for Sable. She definitely enjoyed licking the icing from the side of the cake. Like any other day, she spent the day sleeping under the coffee table while Jeremy studied.

We all know she's special, but please . . . don't tell her she's a dog!!!

BIG Swimmer!!

Sable is polishing her skills as a retriever!! HA! Ha! We've been taking Sable to Lake Willastein here in the afternoons to let her swim. She loves swimming for the tennis ball and diving for rocks!!

Reese Trip to AR

Ronnie & Sharon flew out to see us May 9-13. We had an absolute grand time visiting and playing. Jeremy & Ronnie did lots of fishing. Friday they went up to the Little Red River and caught trout, and then spent Saturday on Lake Maumelle.

Sharon & I took lunch to the guys and spent the afternoon in the boat.
