Snowy Day in Arkansas

Strangely enough, it snowed the fourth day of March. And being Carolinians, we know little about snow! We had never heard of or experienced "thunder snow" until recently. It happened again last night. While snowing at 32 degrees, it is thundering and lightening. Considering Saturday’s beautiful weather, we were hard pressed to believe it could snow two days later. Saturday’s high was around 74, and Jeremy and I made a day of it. We played a little tennis and then went fishing on the AR River. Monday brought severe rains with over 2 inches falling in central Arkansas. Overnight, the rain changed to snow. By 3:30 am, we had a good coverage. Nevertheless, Little Rock schools were open at the usual 8:00 am. Dreading the horrendous drive into the city, Jeremy and I stayed in bed a few extra hours before leaving. When we left, Maumelle had accumulated just over two inches of snow. By this afternoon, very little snow remained. However, it was a nice surprise.
